Striping tape, glitter and stickers manicures

Hello,

Hope some of you are still around, still following my blog even if my posts are so rare right now. Ema keeps me so busy…:)

This weekend I managed to do my manicure and also one of my step daughter’s while my husband watched for Ema. Β I bought some time ago some nail striping tape as I always wanted to get it, Β I think is really cool and easy to create nail art, and one of my friends gave me two nail stickers from Mary Kay. I have never used nail stickers but I wasn’t disappointed.

Bellow I will post the pictures with what I did and what I used, just in case you want to recreate this manicure.

One of my favorite nail polishes though on this post is the metallic silver one from Essie. My friend Elizabeth gave it to me for my birthday and I love it. πŸ˜€

Pink and IMG_4517

For this pink and silver style I used:

  • Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy – Cardshark
  • Essie Mirror Metallics – No place like Chrome
  • Flormar – Genius Glitter – Atomic Bomb ( you may not find this one in US)
  • Silver striping tape

All whiteΒ

I really like a clean white manicure, that’s why I choose to keep it simple and just used the nail stickers to add something extra that is not too much.

I used the white nail polish from Sally Hansen , Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in White on and coated with the Insta Dri , Clearly Quick top coat.

I don’t have the package from the Mary Kay nail stickers as I got only those two but you can find it in the new brochure. πŸ™‚

This was my creative work for this weekend . I have some new makeup pictures that I want to share with you for a while but I have to wait for my next free moment.

Hope you all have a great week! πŸ™‚

Shiny Black Mani

Hi Everybody,

I’m so happy that I can start doing my nails again and trying different styles. All I needed was a fast drying top coat so I can do it while the baby is taking a nap. πŸ˜‰

I used Wet’n’Wild , Black Shine in Black Creme, Sally Hansen , Hard as Nails in Tough Cookie for the tips and Sally Hansen Insta-Dry top coat in Clearly Quick which dries your nails in 1 minute. IMG_4420

To apply the sparkly nail polish more gradually I used a makeup sponge to create a nice effect.

My pinkie nail doesn’t look so good because of a nail breaking accident. πŸ˜€

Anyway, this nail look is easy and fast to do so it could worth a try. πŸ˜‰

October Mani

Hello and happy October! πŸ™‚

It has been a long time since I’ve played with my nails and done something creative but my inspiration came back and here I am. As fall came I am really going for darker colors and what is the most suitable for October than black.

I love shiny black nails and I didn’t have black nail polish for such a long time. To give it a more creative look, I added some nail art to it. I draw some fall flowers on one of my nails and added some gold glitter on another to give it a Halloween type of look. This was very easy to do. For the flowers the only tool you need is a toothpick. Just make some dots and to give it a more flowery look try to elongate the dots (the flower petals). πŸ™‚

Hope you guys like it and get inspired for your own October mani. πŸ™‚

Sweet summer dots Mani

Hi everyone! πŸ™‚

Today’s post is about Manicure inspiration. I am not a professional and I must say that many of my fellow bloggers are when it comes to nail design and art but I am trying to be creative in the limit of my own aptitudes and play with colors. πŸ˜‰

I wanted to do something different to my nails than just apply a color so I went with the dots , sweet colors and a very subtle golden/peachy glitter.

As you can see in the image above, these are the nail polishes I used to get the mani you will see in the picture bellow.

1. For the tips, to create a colored french like manicure I used the China Glaze nail polish in Peachy Keen.

2. For the dots I used two colors Wet n Wild Megalast in Club Havana and China Glaze Β in Thistle Do Nicely. Β To create the dots you can use a toothpick or a dotting tool.

3. I gave it a nice summery shimmer with this Flormar (I got in Europe) Supershine in no. U04.

It ended up a cute shimmery mani, perfect for this season and very easy to create. πŸ™‚

Sunny Nails

Hello there!

Storms are everywhere in Texas now but today is a sunny day and I finally did my nails after weeks of not being in the mood for it. Actually I was too lazy to do it.

I love using bright colors , especially when the summer is here. πŸ™‚

For this mani I used bright yellow and gold.

The yellow nail polish is from Wet n Wild , Wild Shine in 472 D’oh/Oups! ( that’s how this shade is called ;)) Β ) and the gold is from SinfulColors Β -921 All about you.

FullSizeRender (89)

The nail color from Wet n Wild is a bit thick and could be harder to apply but I love the intensity ofΒ  the color. I added the gold only on one nail just to add a bit of glam to this mani. πŸ˜€
